Weddings, parties, pubs, festivals, corporate events, birthdays, charity events, staff parties, etc. If you have an event that needs a band, we cover it.

What music do you play?

Do you play any originals?

Not at this time. We are solely a cover band currently.

Question 4

Do you have a setlist?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We have a whole repertoire of songs that is constantly being updated.  You can pick and choose from them to create a unique setlist for your event.

Can you learn a first dance or special request?

Yes. With plenty of notice we can usually learn a special song for your first dance or event.

How long do you play for?

Our standard sets are 2 x 60 minutes, but we can discuss alternative timings to suit your event.

How long do you need to set up?

This can vary depending on the venue, but we aim to be setup and sound-checked between 60 and 90 minutes.

Do you provide your own PA and lighting?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this can be provided if required but if the venue already has a PA system and lighting in place we lean towards using theirs for ease for all parties involved.

Do you need access to power?

Yes! We will require access to safe, standard sockets for power.

Do you play outside?

Yes! We can play outside as long as there is sufficient cover for us and our instruments if the weather decides to turn.

How far do you travel?

We travel wherever you need us, but mileage will be charged if you are outside 30 miles of Gatwick. 
If you are lucky enough to have your event within 30 miles, then there will be no extra charge.

Do you have public liability insurance?

Accepted Answer

No. We do not have our own personal public liability insurance as most venues will cover that on our behalf. The venue will be able to tell you if they cover live bands or not within their insurance.

How much do you charge?

Pricing entirely depends on event type, location, timings, and technical requirements. Get in touch for a personalised quote.

Question 14

Do you require a deposit?

Accepted Answer

For any events priced £750+, a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required with the remaining 50% paid no later than 7 days after the event.
For any events priced under £750, a single upfront payment will be required.

What happens if you cancel?

If we end up cancelling due to unforeseen circumstances, you will have these options:
We will try to find you a similar replacement
We will reschedule
We will fully refund you

Question 16

Can we see you perform live before booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes! We regularly have gigs in public venues. If you follow us on our socials you should be able to find one that suits you.

Question 17

Do you take breaks between sets?

To keep the energy up, we do appreciate a break between sets. However, due to time restraints we have been known to play up to two hours with no break. 
If you require us to play for longer than 2 hours, we will require a break. We can play background music during this time through our PA system.

Can guests make requests on the night?

Unfortunately not. Unless the song is already on our repertoire, it is unlikely we would be able to perform it to their satisfaction.

What happens if a band member is ill on the day?

In the unlikely event of illness or emergency, we’ll always do our best to provide a suitable replacement musician or alternative solution.

Do you bring your own sound engineer?

We manage our own sound setup for most events.

Question 21

Can venues contact you directly?

Accepted Answer

Yes. This is usually more useful for logistics. Get them to email jonandthemedics@gmail.com so we can organise with the venues directly.
